What does the chase cost you?

You bill by the hour. Nobody pays you for chasing documents. Three sliders, plain arithmetic.

Count all of it: the emails, the texts, checking five inboxes, asking again for the right month.

The chase, per year
$11,250
Hours chasing per month12.5 h
Billable value per month$938
Work weeks per year3.8
PapersIn Solo, per year$588

That is 19× the price of PapersIn. It does not count the clients you keep because the close did not slip.

How the number is built

Clients times minutes per client is your chasing time per month. Divide by sixty for hours, multiply by your rate for what that time would have billed, then by twelve for the year. The work-weeks row divides the annual hours by forty.

The comparison row is the annual price of PapersIn Solo, read from the same table Stripe charges from, so it cannot drift from what you would actually pay.

What it leaves out

It does not count the close that slips because one bank statement arrived on the ninth. It does not count the client who leaves after a late filing, or the evening spent matching receipts to a QuickBooks feed by hand. Those are real, larger, and hard to put on a slider. The number above is the floor.
