Getting started with PapersIn

PapersIn collects your clients' paperwork for you. Each client gets a personal drop link and an inbound email address. Anything they upload or forward is automatically classified, matched against that month's document checklist, and filed with a sensible name — and PapersIn reminds clients about exactly what's still missing, then stops.

1. Create a client

Go to Clients in the app and add a client with their name and email. PapersIn generates their drop link and inbound email address, and sets up a monthly checklist of the documents you expect from them.

2. Share their drop link or inbound email address

Every client gets two ways to send documents, no account or app required:

  • Drop link — papersin.com/drop/<token>: a personal upload page where they can drag in files or snap photos of receipts.
  • Inbound email — <token>@in.papersin.com: they forward bank statements, invoices, or anything else straight from their inbox.

Share either one with the client — both feed into the same place.

3. Documents are classified and matched automatically

Incoming documents are auto-classified (bank statement, invoice, receipt, and so on) and matched to the client's monthly checklist, ticking items off as they arrive. When PapersIn isn't confident about a document, it lands in the Review queue for you to confirm or correct.

4. Reminders chase clients for you

If checklist items are still missing, PapersIn emails the client automatic reminders on weekdays — listing exactly what's outstanding — and stops as soon as everything is in. You can pause reminders per client at any time.

5. Export a client's documents

When the month is complete, export all of a client's documents as a ZIP — cleanly named and ready to hand to whoever does the books.
